Carers and other local people are making time for each other through the new Salford Time Bank, now running in Pendleton.
In the Time Bank, for every hour you give to benefit someone else, you earn one Time Credit. When you need help, you spend your Time Credits, allowing someone else to feel valued.
“Time Banking has benefitted carers elsewhere, providing both practical help and new friendships”, said Mark Wynn, who is developing the Time Bank. “We know that everyone has skills of use to others, from woodwork to pet care, from listening to computers.”
