What we aim to achieve
To learn from dads how they encourage and support their children with speech, language and communication, and how they might best be supported and enabled.
To spread the learning to encourage dads to encourage and support the speech, language and communication of their children.
What we do
A series of in-depth interviews with fathers across Salford, who were in a variety of family circumstances. The findings and recommendations are in the project report.
The learning was used to create the Speaking Dadly animation for wide dissemination to all parents of young children and to professionals working with them.
