Purpose

To enable people to lead more active, fulfilling and happier lives.

Activity

Outreach was done to engage people who were inactive but wanted to change, with an underlying medical condition or risk, and whose participation in society was limited.

Re-Energise offered both one-to-one support and confidence building, as well as collective activity and socialisation, before supporting people to transfer into mainstream services, existing activities and networks, in order to sustain their activity.

Impact

An independent evaluation found that Re-Energise had a range of health-related and other outcomes, including improving prevention. More people were adopting healthier behaviours and reporting positive well-being, including from smoking cessation and minimising harm from alcohol.
