Chris Dabbs

Chief Executive

Originally a social anthropologist, I have worked on diverse projects with local people and communities for over 30 years. I have been involved in social and co-operative enterprise for over 25 years. I most value the opportunities with Unlimited Potential both to enable people to change their own lives and to develop solutions at population and systemic levels. I bring analytical skills, futures thinking, and experience of operating both within and outside systems for social and economic change.

Mike Hughes

Non-Executive Director

Mike Hughes Non-Executive Director I am the Programme Lead for the Greater Manchester Housing First and Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programmes. Previously, I spent over 20 years working in a variety information technology roles across government, private and social sectors. I joined Unlimited Potential for communities to use their knowledge and experience to address their own issues and bring about solutions of real value. With a background in academic research, technology and business analyses, I bring an innovative and analytical approach, utilising my knowledge of co-design and production.

May Moonan

Non-Executive Director

May Moonan Non-Executive Director Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, I practiced as a hospital doctor in England for four years. I am a public health consultant with a doctorate in health inequalities. I am currently a Director in Healthcare Public Health at Salford City Council. I was attracted to Unlimited Potential because it supports people in unleashing their potential across our diverse society. It is continuously challenging itself by engaging with a diversity of mindsets, while creating environments for sustainable system change. I have a wealth of NHS and local authority experience, collaborating with diverse stakeholders. I have a key skill in developing metrics to determine early if a programme is achieving its objectives.

Marie Saddoo

Non-Executive Director

Marie Saddoo Non-Executive Director My professional background is in business, economics and spatial practice. I am proud to be a part of Unlimited Potential, whose ethos resonates with my own on a personal and a professional level. I want to pursue bold, innovative, ethical concepts. I bring knowledge and expertise in approaches such as doughnut economics and systems thinking.

Amira Taha

Non-Executive Director

Amira Taha Non-Executive Director With over 25 years of national and international experience, I am a strategist and inclusive leader passionate about fostering equitable and inclusive communities. I was drawn to Unlimited Potential’s unique commitment to innovative, non-mainstream approaches and to its creative, community-led approach where people can discover and harness their own strengths. I bring expertise in participatory methodologies, equity, diversity and inclusion, and my Conscious Unbias framework (Cub) that can drive transformative, community-driven change.

Kate Wood

Chair and Non-Executive Director

Kate Wood Chair and Non-Executive Director I am a People and Culture Director, currently at AMS Group (a professional services firm), with a focus on employee experience. In previous roles, I led integration for over 40 acquisitions, embedding culture through structured communication and leadership engagement. I was attracted to Unlimited Potential because of how it engages with local communities, with people using their lived experience to make the world a better place. For over six years, I have co-led Women in Tech North. As a keynote speaker, I have spoken at many events in the UK and abroad, alongside talking in local schools as a relatable role model.

Jaiden Corfield Project Manager A proud Salford lad, dog-dad and coffee enthusiast, I am the Project Manager for Positive Masculinities. I was attracted to Unlimited Potential because of my genuine alignment with its mission and values. I bring a wealth of experience in community activism and social action. Before joining Unlimited Potential, I led a community interest company delivering projects exploring masculinities and emotional intelligence with boys across Salford.

Orla McCann

Project Manager

Orla McCann Project Manager After an academic background in criminology and social work, I worked with diverse groups and communities to understand and address inequalities. My interest in Unlimited Potential came from recognising that system change was needed to address the root causes of inequality and create lasting change. It offered an opportunity to contribute to system change and work alongside local people and opportunities to achieve this. I bring particular skills in organisation and time management.

Marcia Powell Project Support Officer Having worked in roles centred on helping people, I am deeply committed to enabling organisations dedicated to supporting people improve their own lives. I value Unlimited Potential’s commitment to innovation and its nurturing culture, which fosters collaboration and personal growth. I have a solid foundation of administrative expertise and organisational support skills. With a genuine sense of understanding, kindness, and compassion, my qualities and skill set contribute to Unlimited Potential’s overall success and culture.

Sue Shaw

Finance Officer

Sue Shaw Finance Officer I have over 20 years’ experience working in the social sector, previously working in the regional office of a national charity overseeing the finances of projects dedicated to helping young people and families. I most value that Unlimited Potential’s focus on helping local people to improve their lives, including setting up innovative new social businesses. I bring a wide knowledge of the whole accounts process to our organisation to enable it to run smoothly, working alongside colleagues, board members and our funders.

Patrick Tierney Engagement Worker Having passed through addiction, mental health problems and the criminal justice system, I am driven to make a difference with people with the hardest lives. I use creativity, belief and anything available to me. I am at the right place to make change happen because of the core values that run through Unlimited Potential. It is committed to helping people and communities to prosper and thrive, including me and my colleagues. I am tenacious and persistent, and have particular strengths in facilitation, reflection and learning.
