Salary :

Closing Date :
2nd October 2019

Based in Trafford

£19,554 – £21,166 per year (pro rata) + 8.5% pension contribution

25 hours per week for a fixed term expiring on 31 March, 2020 (with a possible 12-month extension)

You will support disabled people, and those around them, to lead healthy, active lives through increasing access and opportunities to social, physical and exercise-based activity in mainstream environments. You will do this through person-centred support, action planning and providing good connections into activities, opportunities and services available locally.

You will also work with those around the person, and with local activity and support providers, to create a broader network of support to maintain long-term activity independent from specialist services.

You will be able to enable people to identify goals, and to motivate and support them to achieve these through increased activity and signposting.

You will be able to engage and communicate easily with people with varying needs and from different backgrounds, and be adaptable and creative in your approach. You will be able to work alone, as well as part of a small team, including the ability to deal with difficult situations. With a record of personal development and learning, you will be able to travel easily around Trafford and surrounding areas, to work flexibly according to the needs of those you support and to work outdoors.

Being a Lifestyle Coach can be challenging and requires confidence and resilience but, for the right person, it is a hugely rewarding role.
